We believe respect starts with listening. That’s why our Engagement Committee brings teammates from across our hospitals together to share ideas, raise new perspectives and help shape the workplace we share. By creating a space where everyone has an opportunity to contribute, the committee is helping ensure that different voices are heard and valued.
The conversations don’t always focus on the day-to-day work of caring for patients. Teammates have come together to organize activities like beach cleanups and group hikes, creating opportunities to connect outside the hospital and get to know one another in a different setting.
The committee is still evolving, and that’s intentional. Building a workplace where people feel heard takes ongoing conversation, openness to new ideas and a willingness to listen. For us, Respect means recognizing that every teammate has something valuable to contribute. We know when people feel valued, they’re able to bring their best to the work they do and to the patients and families who count on us.
