The staff are extremely caring and made me feel much more comfortable with the very difficult and scary decision to proceed with amputation for my dog. I felt very supported and my dog is doing very well! The only reason for 9 instead of 10 stars is the wait times. We waited over 30 minutes each time for simple drain removal and suture removal. The vet tech at the time of pickup was very good at explaining the discharge instructions and made me feel a lot more comfortable with taking my dog home after his surgery. Before picking him up, I was very apprehensive and she made me feel at ease.

Everyone was kind and compassionate from the front desk to the vet techs to the vet. Our dog is not always easy to deal with, but they were always patient and helpful. I was happy with how everything was explained and appreciated the good communication on the day of the surgery. I am so pleased with the wonderful care my dog received

The team were absolutely amazing from our first appointment, through surgery to having his stitches out after three weeks. < br />Communication was regular and easy to understand making the whole process much less stressful. Not one individual person - everyone was so lovely! How much they cared for my dog.

After my puppy, Winston, suffered a terrible accident that left him with a broken pelvic floor, I was devastated and unsure if he would ever recover. But thanks to Dr. Keeshen’s incredible skill, expertise, and compassion, Winston not only made it through surgery successfully but also had a remarkably speedy recovery. Dr. Keeshen is not only a highly skilled surgeon but also one of the kindest and most caring veterinarians I have ever met. He took the time to explain everything to me, reassured me during such a stressful time, and treated Winston with so much care. It’s clear that he genuinely loves animals and is dedicated to their well-being. Thanks to him, Winston is back to being his happy, playful self. Dr Sebastian performed a total hip replacement on my mini Aussie pup. Within two weeks she is walking well, the incision looks amazing and she seems to be out of pain for the most part. I've been very impressed with the knowledge of the entire staff, and absolutely no miscommunications between us or their staff. Thank you to the entire team at VSS!!

I have, unfortunately, had to bring my dog here several times for separate issues (he's kind of a lemon, bless his sweet [defective] heart)—but the folks at VSS are always very welcoming, professional, and excellent at keeping you in the loop at every stage of your pet's care. Shout out to Dr. Keeshen who has seen my dog way too often, but still has the patience of a saint. 😂

I have to say What an incredible and wonderful experience that I had Veterinary Surgical Specialists! From the very kind and sweet receptionists, the caring and loving technicians and caretakers, super professional nurses and most importantly the surgeon Dr Peter Sebestyen. The doctor was confident and careful and did a beautiful job on my little buddys surgery. He explained all the risks and everything that was going to happen and spent a lot of time with me so that there was no surprises. He removed part of my dogs liver with a very large mass in it and less that 5 days later my dog is as good as new! Even the stitching is well done . Dr Sebestyen is the top animal surgeon in America. (He even has BEST in his last name)!! The follow up and quick responses from him and the team were really appreciated. An exceptional facility with exceptional staff. Our golden retriever developed a cystic mass on his tail that required surgical removal. This type of care is very stressful for both us and our dog, particularly as he had to spend the night. The demeanor and sensitivity of everyone from Dr Cambridge to the night nurses was exceptionally reassuring. Even small things like the note on his discharge paperwork that "Rufus was a brave boy" were very helpful. We had confidence that Rufus was receiving the best possible care in a safe, welcoming environment.
